Never mind the recession…. what every interior hedonist really craves is a solid stone carved bath in which to luxuriate, sip a glass of chilled Chablis and soak away all their cares. However, getting one into a three storey terrace is a bit of a problem, not to mention that the weight would usually ensure it drops straight through into the kitchen. Not any more, as the clever peeps at Limestone Gallery showed this inventive bath at Decorex 2011, designed to solve problems of manoeuvrability & tonnage. Innovative, huh?
The limestone bath separates into three pieces to allow it to be carried into your home section by section, plus each one is hollowed out to reduce the weight. The pieces fit together perfectly so there’s no question of any milk escaping and flooding downstairs. I’m assuming you bathe in milk too, right?

It is a cool design, very inventive
I thought so too! Just need a bathroom big enough for a free standing bath now…
Such a nice design, I like it.
