The gorgeous Pale & Interesting shop in Rye, Sussex

Back home in Manchester now after completing our third, fabulous Half Built House down in Eastbourne, it’s time for some serious sofa time after two weeks of full-on hard work. During each property transformation we head out to film an ‘inspiration day’, rummaging through antiques and collectables, checking out the work of local artists and just generally looking at gorgeous things.

Mr M & I spent a sunny evening in Rye, a heavenly medieval town packed with fascinating architecture and Sussex history. Whilst there I spotted a beautiful interiors shop called Pale & Interesting which looked amazing from the outside but which was closed on a Sunday 😦 That’s no good, I thought, so took the #HBH team there during the week! We weren’t disappointed! What a beautiful life-style boutique, showcasing some gorgeous finds by owners Atlanta and Dave. Sumptuous elegance alongside vintage charm, decorative design next to pretty originals. And all perfect for our HBH No3 🙂

I treated myself to one of their design books, a lovely zinc planter and a porcelain tea-label coaster to say thanks to dad for house-sitting.
