How to bring some upholstery fun to a boring bar stool

It’s so easy now to customise and personalise furniture, with all the awesome fabrics available and UK upholsterers offering their services. The revival in upholstery interest and sewing is fabulous and I’ve done a course in the former myself, however I have to admit in not having a single Sewing Gene in my body. Easy therefore to call in the stitching big guns to revitalise these four bar stools for a client, supporting a local business in the process – win:win.
Unfortunately I didn’t get a ‘before’ pic, but you get the general idea from the generic image, the stools were very white and a bit, well, boring. Picking up on the dogtooth fabric of the client’s living room sofa cushions, we followed the theme into the open plan kitchen diner and chose this fantastic grey & lime wool fabric. I love them!
