Normally my X-word shopping starts sometime on December 23rd with a frantic dash round local shops so I’m besides myself with pride that I’ve nailed some gifts in November! All thanks to a lovely afternoon spent at Somerset House on the banks of the Thames, wandering in the fairy lit arcade filled with handmade gifts and artisan treats. I’d seen it being tweeted about and am so pleased we popped in, loving the stunning, high ceilinged rooms housing indies such as BoBelle, William Curley Chocolatier, Gizelle Renee, Crabtree & Evelyn and Handmade in Britain (thanks to the latter who were the ones tweeting about their involvement).

Bottom: Theo London
I bought myself a beautiful porcelain bowl designed and made by Janet Stahelin Edmondson, and some fab pressies for friends from one of my fav online stores, Theo London.Yep, even got my metro tile alert fix in Tom’s Deli 😉
Totally inspired by the beautiful building and the creative use it is put to for London and it’s different communities, everything from the visual arts, crafts, film, fashion, music and education. Lots of seeds being sewn for the future of our Love Withington Baths project, summed up by this graffiti I saw near Shoreditch….
Thanks to Mike for a lovely pic of me & Mr M enjoying our winter’s afternoon at Somerset House x
