This week has been absolutely jam packed with interior inspiration, I hardly know where to begin! Always good to start with a smile so I’m kicking off with my fab Hive vase from new US kid on the UK interiors block – WestElm, whose store opened this week in London yesterday and as we were already down there it seemed awfully rude not to pop in 😉 I liked it, a good mix of US design aesthetic & superb customer service mixed with current European interior trends – warm metallics, reclaimed timber, my beloved hexagons, animals, chevrons, you know the drill. My new huge gold owl mug holds enough hot chocolate to keep the endorphins flowing on a cold day in the office #bonus

Loved the West Elm copper cups gold glass jewellery boxes below in WestElm (please Santa?). We also popped into Heal’s next door where I got my metro tile alert fix at Neom and picked up some brilliant copper & antique ceiling roses for just £7.50. Will blog those separately when they go up in Project Polka, the house we’re currently working on for a client.

Talking of which, here she is looking all ripped out and sorry for herself this week. First fix electrics and plumbing is done and after a very glam London day yesterday, it’s back to muckiness and cleaning down before the plasterers arrive tomorrow morning. There’s a new gas supply going in today so we’ll have heat from Monday – thank goodness, it’s freezing in there!

We have ’til the 19th Dec to get it all finished and not only ready for habitation but looking amazing, so moodboards and materials are sorted and ready to be pulled together and installed. Tight schedule on this unexpected job but we’re used to it *rolls eyes*
Loving the client’s brave choices on flooring after I’d shown her some Harvey Maria designs – blue polka dots a go-go!

Earlier this week we visited the inspirational Camp And Furnace in Liverpool (after repeated recommendations from H at Didsbury Life!). Wow, what a spectacular place with incredible food. Hidden away and housed in a huge industrial warehouse, it’s a new events venue with an uber cool bar & restaurant (best turkey sandwich I’ve EVER had), pop ups, fairs, festivals and even footie matches. Loved it and was totally inspired for our Withy Baths project 🙂

And there’s MORE, I hear you interior lovers cry?? Yes! I fell in love with a ceiling this week, a gorgeous white work of art surrounded by lush greenery and decorated with blown glass pendants in Rosylee Tearooms in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. A gang of us self-employed craft, vintage & business loving ladies had festive food there and I loved the interior, very monochrome and very elegant . A big hit with all of us 🙂
