The growing trend for personalising our homes, as we nest in and stay put rather than neutralise and sell on, means that people are looking for statement items which define their style. I’ve specified some fabulous striped carpets in recent years, but this new collection is a definite style step forward, I adore it! I remember when I was a child my nan’s living room carpet was highly patterned and every so often there was a reindeer hidden in the design which I found utterly magical. Seeing these carpets brought back that memory and made me smile.
Personally I love the Ruskin Butterfly and the Damask….. maybe one will make an appearance at Moregeous Mansions later this year as I’m determined to create an unusual and highly individual interior. Which one fits your style?
The new carpets will be available at John Lewis at around £95 per sqm, a definite investment in your home and in British industry. I like that the collaboration is building on the previous two collections featuring rugs, runners and feature pieces, some of which can be seen below.
