Have You Got Manchester’s Nicest Neighbour?

Plum Life Nicest Neighbour Competition.jpg

We’re known for being a friendly bunch up here in Manchester so I’m expecting HEAPS of entries for this fab competition run by local shared-ownership specialists Plumlife, which I’ll be part of alongside fellow judges John Leech, David Ellison and Lisa Westerman.

It’s very much a community-focused campaign to find our city’s ‘nicest neighbour, so have you got someone in mind? Does someone in your Manchester neighbourhood go the extra mile for those around them, always having a friendly word or just taking on tasks for others with a smile?

I totally agree with David Ellison, Labour Councillor for Didsbury West, who says “Plumlife’s ‘nicest neighbour’ campaign celebrates these relationships and highlights the many ways good neighbours make a difference to our lives.”

Being neighbourly is one of the most important ways of creating great communities, and neighbours joining forces to help each other individually and on joint projects can be very powerful. It’s wonderful this Plumlife initiative is praising those selfless residents in Manchester who help others and create happy neighbourhoods.

It could be for anything from lending out a lawnmower, walking a neighbours dog,  doing someones shopping or rescuing washing from the rain!

The prize? £200 in vouchers for the winning nice neighbour and £100 worth for the nominator – and not just *any* vouchers mind, but M& S vouchers 😉

To enter send in a letter with your name and address, your neighbour’s name and their kind activity. Please send this via Twitter – @PlumlifeHomes #Nicestneighbour, Facebook – www.facebook.com/PlumlifeHomes or by post to: Rachael Richards, Senior Public Relations Officer, Plumlife, Great Places Housing Group, Southern Gate, 729 Princess Road, Manchester, M20 2LT

The deadline for this competition is 10am on Friday 12 August 2016, so get nominating those super special Mancunians!nicest_neighbour013.jpegGood luck x
