It’s the Ideal Home Magazine photo shoot tomorrow at our Liner Luxe bathroom, and there are always last minute arrivals and alterations and tweaks to be done. For my long-suffering other half, this is generally how it goes…. ‘Hey Mart, we’re just going to take a few snaps next week of that bathroom we did, for a magazine, won’t take long, and there isn’t much to do, be dead easy this one….’

And then suddenly he finds his sofa is out of bounds as it’s a safe place to store the Ikea Billy bookbase door I’ve had mirrored….
No place for his bike anymore as the hall is filled with boxes of dressing delights sent by the stylist….

He can’t eat lunch in the sun as I’m using the table to spray-paint decorative boxes black….

And then finally, bribed with the promise of a stupendous chicken curry tonight, he heads off to the other side of Manchester to pick up the blind I’ve ordered from Robertshaws – they’ve just rung to say it’s all finished and looks fab. Lesley there was a little unsure of how it would turn out – I wanted a limestone coloured main blind, with a black band along the bottom and some beading for extra glamour – but she says it looks great! Can’t wait to see it…..
Better get on with that curry now eh, good job he loves me, cause I am such a pain in his ass!!
