Interior I-Spy: Artisan, Manchester

Artisan Manchester, Living Ventures, on the Moregeous BlogNew kitchen / bar Artisan opened in Manchester this week and we popped in last night for a few cheeky cocktails & nibbles with friends and to check out the much talked about interior design scheme. I loved it. All the things we’ve been raving about this year brought together in a glamorous & industrial styled space, lots of exposed timber and brick, cage lighting, metro tiles, metal work, neon lighting, natural surfaces and vintage style touches. I particularly liked the huge pendants over each table with their vertical slats of light from hidden filament bulbs, the artwork painted onto reclaimed doors by local art students and the delicate dragonfly adorned porcelain tea light holders. The artwork sourced by BuyArtFair was pretty spot on too.

Artisan Manchester, Living Ventures, on the Moregeous BlogI got my usual odd looks from glam girls as I took an Instagram of the washroom floor, white hexagons with the occasional black insert framed by black timber skirting, then taupe hexagons to the walls. I’ve been playing with hexagons for a while – see blog post – loved seeing them incorporated into the Artisan template.

Also liked the spacing idea to the hallway metro tiling to allow for the insertion of artwork, might be inspired by (I mean ‘nick’ obv) that idea for #ProjectSunnySide.

Artisan Manchester, Living Ventures, on the Moregeous BlogOn top of all that, what we loved most was the Bitchin Room. 12,000sqft allows for some indulgences and a space devoted entirely to girly gossip and those omg-have-you-seen-what-she’s-wearing  moments, with vintage glass shades and button backed seating…. what more could a girl ask for?
