I must confess to having a bit of a kitchen door handle fetish and am very happy to see that things are on the up design wise in that area. Most clients play it safe with handles and in recent years many have opted for handleless, touch sensitive doors, but I really like an eclectic look and something a bit different.
These skilfully engineered handles in solid brass, stainless steel and satin black have just been launched by fabulous Brit designers Buster & Punch, who I first spotted at Clerkenwell last Spring. If your drawers are in need of a Rockstar vibe, look no further.
So that led me to thinking about handles in general. On Project Pad last week, we fitted some cute Laura Ashley ceramic knobs to the pale walnut doors which worked for that particular scheme. Inexpensive and very pretty:Here are some others I’ve seen recently and liked, including these ones at Rockett St George:
These leather pulls on Apartment Therapy give a handmade craft feel to a cream and timber kitchen:
And this one’s cheating a bit as the handles are beautifully designed and made by Workstead in Brooklyn as an integral part of the doors, but we can dream, can’t we?
This post is showing fabulous creativity behind awesome designing. This really helps in designing and decorating with fixtures of great style and value. Thank you for sharing the great post here.
