Being a blogger & interior designer means I get asked by lots of companies & brands to work with them / for them and to be honest, most don’t appeal. I only really like to talk about products I actually use or specify for clients, brands I always shop with or just generally stuff which genuinely inspires me. Many other bloggers are the same and fiercely guard their authenticity rather than simply being keyboards for hire. I’m lucky in that I have a full time career in property and interiors so for me, blogging is something I enjoy doing to share gathered knowledge, trends and finds I spot on my travels and experience gained through actually ‘doing’ what I write about.
So, where am I going with this? The other week I was contacted by Homesense who wanted me to partner with them on an exciting new project, using their products to help a reader with an interior challenge, host an event in my local store and give general Springtime tips and advice, and I though about it for about 60 seconds and jumped at the chance. Why? Cause I shop there. All the time. I buy dressing items like bedding, mirrors, rugs, vases and candles for rentals, source unusual finds for clients and pick up bits & pieces for Moregeous Mansions – although Mr M’s now banned that until our refurb is finished! My branch in Manchester is an Aladdin’s Cave of ever changing treasure and some of it could be yours……
