Our last buy at Habitat Wythenshawe & ancient Chinese doors

A pain-filled week this week, packed with co-codamol and distracting things to do. New tenants in one of the apartments made me address the fact that the three seater faux leather sofa and chair which had been in the flat for the last five years were NOT MOREGEOUS!!!! I knew this of course, but other things take precedence in life and little things like crappy plastic suites get forgotten when exciting new apartments are being renovated. So time to start again with the older apartments and update what needs updating.

Like the suite below, for massive example. How fabulous that within a couple of hours it was recycled to someone who really appreciated it and a quick visit down to the closing Wythenshawe Habitat resulted in it being replaced  with a lush corner sofa which the new tenants can snuffle down into on a Friday night 🙂 I like to think that this image of it behind my flourishing cherry tomatoes is what made it fly off to a new owner!
On another note, look at this FABULOUSNESS below!

Before we’d seen the sofa in Habitat, we’d been up to a supplier up in Lancashire to see if we could find one there. I won’t go into detail about the disaster of the sofa purchase as it’s now irrelevant but suffice to say we came away with no settee, but two ancient Chinese doors stuffed into the car. It’s at times like these I rely on Mr M’s ability to trust in my future vision, not ask questions and just go with the Moregeous flow. At least I didn’t go with the £500 a pair ones 😉

They will be forming an integral part of a planned kitchen – an eclectic mix of old and new – I can’t WAIT!!!!

Bit squiffy now, can’t write more as spelling mistakes will take over, way too much red wine with RipRap & Mr M and giggling isn’t conducive to writing, night night x

    1. By the end the tenant’s bums were hitting the floor when they sat down & they hadn’t mentioned a word! Took a change of tenant to bring it to my attention. They were spectacularly hideous weren’t they, what was I THINKING?!? Influenced by that bloody Beeny woman to keep costs down 😉
